Gympie Family History Society is about collecting and preserving the history of families in the area. We would love to hear and preserve the stories about you, your family and your ancestors. Not all will be in the Kandanga Cemetery, or any cemetery in the area, this doesn’t matter. If your stories are preserved, than future researchers will have a very good resource for their research.
Come along and hear other family stories, as this may encourage you to put your stories on paper.

Cost: FREE if you bring your family’s history to be preserved. Otherwise $10.00 per person. Everyone to get a Crawl booklet.

Raffle: $1.00 per ticket Note: This Crawl is cash only

Refreshments: Food supplied – But power not available so you will need to bring your own thermos of tea/coffee and cup or a bottle of water to drink.

Gympie Family History Society Cemetery Crawls are held 3 to 4 times a year for 90 mins on Wednesdays or Saturdays. All are welcome and encouraged to contact us for more information. They are presented as an educational cemetery crawl, either on location or virtual (at the society rooms), either as a day or night event, usually focusing on five to ten individual grave sites or tombstones. People who have lived and worked, and born, in the Gympie and Wide Bay areas, from the earliest period of the region, through to more current notable local personalities.
